Pros

It can be faster and more efficient, just slip in the pages with one hand, while the other hand can be doing something else.

Cons

Like all staplers, an electric stapler can get jammed and might be a bit harder to fix than a standard stapler.
If you decide to plug in the electric stapler, the cord can be a tripping hazard and cause injury.
Because it has a cord, there is the possibility of the cord getting tangle around other things in the office, providing more work and hassle for you to deal with.
An electric stapler is more expensive than a standard stapler.
Some brands may be temperamental. The paper needs to be exactly positioned in the stapler to get the stapler to staple.
